Unlike other destinations in Southeast Asia, diving conditions in Singapore are limited. However, beneath the murk lies a wealth of beauty waiting to be discovered. Inspired by Singapore’s rich biodiversity, a group of underwater photographers come together to document the intricate marine life in these waters, advocating for greater love and protection of the ocean.

Nikki Tan is a dedicated wildlife and conservation filmmaker and director based in Singapore, known for her impactful storytelling and commitment to marine conservation. As the Content Lead at Coastal Natives, a prominent marine conservation organization, she spearheads the curation of ocean films and events while emphasising effective science communication to raise awareness about pressing environmental issues.
Nikki's passion for wildlife and environmental storytelling has garnered recognition in the industry. She was recently selected as a grantee for the Wildscreen and On The Edge's Edge of Nature short film fund, highlighting her talent and dedication to creating compelling narratives that inspire action and foster a deeper understanding of the natural world.
Through her work, Nikki aims to bridge the gap between science and the public, using film as a powerful medium to advocate for the preservation of our planet and the diverse life they support.
