April 2, 2025 - Bangkok — Changing Climate Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival announces this year’s flagship program "CCCL Film Grants 2025", supported by the Department of Cultural Promotion, Ministry of Culture, and THACCA - Thailand Creative Culture Agency. This initiative invites Thai and Southeast Asian filmmakers to submit short film project proposals addressing the climate crisis for a chance to receive production grants of up to 50,000 THB, with at least eight grants available.

Selected short films must have a final runtime of a maximum of 15 minutes, with no restrictions on storytelling approaches. Projects should explore climate crisis-related topics such as climate migration, the impact of climate change on children, women, and marginalized communities, food security, climate policy, health issues and climate change, and the role of AI, innovation, and technology in addressing the climate crisis, among others.

About CCCL Film Grants Program
CCCL Film Festival offers film production grants to emerging Thai and Southeast Asian filmmakers. The program aims to identify and nurture new talents who present exciting ideas on a film about climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation, and sustainability. With climate change impacts posing more challenges to habitat, health, agriculture, and employment, we wish to encourage the young generation of Southeast Asians and others to raise awareness about climate change issues through the power of film.
Since 2020, we has supported over 60 projects, including: Multiverse of Mekong (Thailand) by Patiparn Boontarig, Pad Thai (Thailand) by Weeraya Vichayaprasertkul,
First Draft (Thailand) by Napawat Likhitwong, Avocado on Pancakes (Thailand) by Chinanang Tamrongtanakijakarn, Mountain Roars (Thailand) by Chonchanok Thanathetipwong & Pobwarat Maprasob, Reflection in the Marsh (Philippines) by Breech Asher Harani, and Bit by Bit (Myanmar) by Thiangi Win Thin.
