Updated: Jan 31, 2022

Changing Climate, Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival has continued our mission to be a platform for youths and filmmakers to tell climate change stories and amplify their creativities and views on the climate crisis. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak occurring in Thailand, the 2nd edition of the CCCL Film Festival postponed its annual festival to take place on February 19th, 2022 at the Alliance Française Bangkok.

The festival will celebrate climate change stories and filmmakers from Thailand and other Asian countries. Submissions are now open through FilmFreeway. The new deadline for submission is December 17, 2021, at 11.59 PM (GMT+7). Selected films will be announced in late February.

About the festival

Changing Climate, Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival is the first film festival on climate change in Thailand bringing young and diverse artists, environmental professionals, and audiences together to celebrate films about climate change and empower local communities. In 2020, CCCL Film Festival presented the most vibrant and exciting climate change short films of which 90% are produced by youth aged 25 and younger. The festival also hosted conversations and a live performance from a Keren tribe artist Dr. Suwichan Patanapaiwan and a Thai singer Hugo Chakrabongse Levy. The festival awarded its grand prizes to three outstanding short films.
