12 Projects Selected for the CCCL Panorama Forum

November 9, 2021 - Bangkok, Thailand — Changing Climate, Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival announced today 12 short film projects selected for the first edition of CCCL Panorama, a pitching forum specifically designed for young and emerging filmmakers. Taking place between December 10-11, 2021 at the Ubon Namsub Resort in Ubon Ratchathani, all 18 participants will have the opportunity to explore and discuss the impacts on communities in the Lower Mekong River basin in the Northeast of Thailand (Isan) and other important and relevant issues, and receive exposure to climate films, and learn about climate filmmaking from professional filmmakers.


The selected fellows include TREASURE by Peerapon Thongpak and Supawida Singsuttichan, MEANDERING by Jakkrapan Sriwichai and Antika Chomnan, MEKONG GEM by Mongkoutphet Hanesana and Nalinee Chanasattru, THE CORN AND I by Sedthawut Inboon and Saralchana Khamdech, GOODBYE HOMONOIA RIPARIA LOUR by Kittikhun Seniwong Na Ayutthaya, THE WATERWALL by Pobwarat Maprasob, A LETTER FROM DOWNSTREAM by Patiparn Boontarig, MEKONG: UNPREDICTABLE by Thanawat Talsuk and Thanawat Heyman, THE TRUTH BEHIND CLIMATE MIGRATION by Kadesiree Thossaphonpaisan, THE VASE OF TIME by Chonchanok Thanatteepwong, AMUTTASOK by Thaniya Chaikham and Chanapat Soontorngumjohnpanich, WHERE IS THE KING OF NAKAS by Natt Boonlert


During the 2-day event participants will be able to attend a wide range of activities including FILM SCREENING: a screening of FOOD EVOLUTION directed by Academy Award® nominee Scott Hamilton Kennedy, ROUNDTABLE: a climate change conversation with Assoc. Prof. Dr.Kanokwan Manorom, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Chainarong Sretthachau, and Ormbun Thipsuna, MASTER CLASS I: Film Directing and Creative Storytelling with Taiki Sakpisit, and MASTER CLASS II: Film Producing with David Allen Cluck. On the last day of the event, participants will be pitching their short film projects in the PITCHING FORUM. One selected project will be given a film production grant of 20,000 Thai Baht.
