Submissions are now open for CCCL Film Festival 2025

Entries for the Changing Climate, Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival 2025 Short Film Competition open today and filmmakers are invited to submit fiction, documentary, experimental, and animated short films. All films selected will be eligible for jury prize, the Youth Jury Award, the Audience Award, and the Young Filmmaker Award for filmmakers under 25 years old. The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2024, at 11.59 PM (PST).


Changing Climate, Changing Lives (CCCL) Film Festival is the first film festival on climate change in Thailand bringing young and diverse artists, environmental professionals, and audiences together to celebrate films about climate change and empower local communities. The 5th edition of the festival will take place in Bangkok and selected cities in Thailand, comprising film screenings and talks. A collection of titles will be made available for online viewing.


Program highlights from previous editions included special screenings of Bong Joon-ho's SNOWPIERCER, Sarvnik Kaur's Sundance-winning documentary AGAINST THE TIDE, Norway's Oscar® submission SONGS OF EARTH, and the Oscar® nominated documentary HAULOUT.

Films produced in Thailand may be submitted through Google Forms 

Films produced in Asia may be submitted through FilmFreeway

CCCL Film Festival is a platform for Thai youth and communities to share their stories of climate impact, resilience, inspiration, and innovation. Founded in 2019, CCCL aims to raise awareness about climate change through the power of short films and inspire action in Thailand and Asia. We organize year-round activities and offer a limited number of filmmaking grants and mentorship to young aspiring filmmakers.
